A detailed scan of a small object, this is the option most suited to mesh only scans, with a high degree of accuracy. This is the most economical means to digitize an object, however there are size restrictions for this type of scan, and textures are best used for reference only.

Handheld Scanner

Highly flexible and can be done on location, handheld scans can provide both a highly detailed and accurate mesh, they can also provide a texture of high enough quality for most uses. Our scanner is best used with items over 200mm per dimension, but don't worry we can still capture tiny details with an accuracy of up to .1mm/m.

Photogrammetry

Very small and/or detailed items, as well as very large items (up to whole construction sites), can sometimes best be digitized through photogrammetry. Often used to capture photorealistic textures, photogrammetry is best applied to objects with an organic surface with lots of visual variations. Photogrammetry is negatively affected by items that are shiny, transparent, or a smooth flat surface.

UAV Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry applied to large scale subjects, such as golf courses, construction sites, even terrain mapping, can be accomplished by using a drone. 3D models created this way can also be used for such things as inspections, investigations, and visualization of large scale objects in planning stages.

The best of both worlds, should a highly detailed mesh and highly accurate texture be needed at the same time. Combining separate technologies to create the highest possible quality scan, can produce the highest quality digital assets. This can only be accomplished with certain subject types.
